What to include in a notice
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
- The link to the material on SigilQR (for example a passport page, /p/STK-…).
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send the agent a counter-notice with your signature, the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court. We'll forward it to the person who complained and may restore the content after 10–14 business days unless they tell us they've filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.
Misuse
Knowingly false notices can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). If you're unsure whether a use is infringing, consider getting legal advice first.
